BLED – HOST OF THE 2023 EUROPEAN ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bled – the jewel amongst the Alps – will host the European Rowing Championships between 26 - 28 May 2023. The best European rowers will compete on one of the most beautiful rowing courses in the world and a traditional rowing venue. The centre of the town of Bled with hotels, restaurants, shops and all other relevant infrastructure is situated on the lakeshore itself and around the rowing course. Participants will be able to access the Rowing Center and all other places of interest within walking distance.

THE LAKE IS FAIR TO ALL

The winds do not affect the rowers selectively when crossing the lake. There are no large tributary streams or any currents affecting the conditions. The water is still and very rarely choppy.

With 2,120 meters it is ideal for rowing competitions.

A natural course situated in the lake basin enables the arrangement of six rowing courses in the heart of the tourist gem.

The walls of Bled Castle offer a magnificent view of the course from start to finish.

START PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO BLED

Travel to Bled can be easy, fast and convenient. Because of Slovenia’s geographical position, access to Bled can be very easy and quick. Transportation from and to Ljubljana Airport, as well as other airports, e.g., Zagreb (CRO), Trieste or Venice (ITA), Klagenfurt or Salzburg (AUT), can be organized.

Shuttle transportation from official hotels will be organized. More information will follow.
